Meet The Founder
I started Campbeltown Consulting in 2010 to support the growth and development of natural, organic and artisan CPG food brands. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than to help makers achieve their sales goals and build their business with bravery and purpose.
Having lived and worked in Europe, Asia and North America, I've been exposed to many different cultures and food systems. I relish drawing on my diverse background to help food and farm brands thrive.
Following in the food footsteps of my mother who taught cookery at school and various Uncles who ran a supermarket chain, a produce wholesaler and a whisky distillery in Scotland, I developed a love for food at an early age.
Prior to consulting and coaching, I held senior positions with Daymon Worldwide and Safeway (UK). One of my favorite projects was to work with an artisan Indian bakery that used traditional clay tandoor ovens to produce fresh bubbly Naan breads. With technical support and a clear growth strategy, the company blossomed. It went from zero to 400 high volume stores in less than 3 years.
I moved to the U.S to lead the revitalization of Kroger's organic brand in the natural channel.
In addition to consulting, I am a mentor at Built Oregon, a non profit with a vision to make Oregon the leader in CPG innovation and development. I live in Portland, Oregon with my wife to whom I proposed at a Farmers Market, two boys and my soccer loving border collie.
